Taking steps to improve our environment

InterMotive has joined a growing number of companies in their efforts to help reduce the impact that technology has on our environment. Our most current efforts have proven to be very successful. A company wide E-Waste drive hosted by InterMotive, Inc. in conjunction with Sims Recycling Solutions located in Roseville, CA has collected a van full of recyclable televisions, personal computers, microwaves, cell phones, monitors and other peripherals that can be recycled, resold, or reused. The management team as well as the entire staff has embraced the opportunity to reduce the amount of electronic waste that would otherwise end up in landfills, therefore assisting in protecting human health and the safety of our environment for generations to come.

InterMotive worked in conjunction with Sims Recycling Solutions to offer a cost effective way for everyone to be involved in the efforts to collect as much e-waste at our location as possible. SRS provided the boxes and pallets necessary to collect the waste. As InterMotive was able to facilitate the transportation of the waste, there was no cost to the company or the staff for this service. The savings averaged $20 per person. Additionally, InterMotive was able to work with SRC and secured a reduced rate for the shredding of hard drives, memory cards, anything that stores personal data, therefore allowing a peace of mind that your personal information and security would not be breached. The total additional savings realized was in the hundreds of dollars.

The process was very simple and did not take a lot of time and effort.
