PRODUCT RETURN POLICY

Non-Warranty Returns

Non-warranty returns will be accepted if made within 90 days of date of purchase. Items over 90 days are not eligible for refunds. The customer must contact InterMotive with the product serial number and obtain a Returned Goods Authorization (RGA) number prior to returning product. The customer is responsible for paying all shipping costs back to InterMotive, Inc. All non-warranty returns must be intact, in working and re-saleable condition (i.e. no cut wires, worn or damaged modules, etc.). Non-warranty merchandise returns will be subject to a 25% re-stocking fee.  Unless otherwise requested, credit will be applied to the customer’s account for accepted returns.  Non-warranty returns not in re-saleable condition will be subject to a price deduction from the total credit issued. Custom designed or special order products are NOT returnable for any reason other than warranty or repair purposes as described below.

Warranty Returns

Questionable or defective products may be returned for evaluation within InterMotive’s stated warranty period (two years from the in-service date if warranty registration is completed on-line, or one year from the date product was shipped from InterMotive, if not registered.). The customer must contact InterMotive for prior approval and obtain a Returned Goods Authorization (RGA) number. A detailed description of the symptom(s) or issue(s) the product is exhibiting must be included. Return packaging without a valid RGA number written on the outside of the box will be refused and returned at the customer’s expense.  RGA numbers are only valid for 30 days from date of issue.  Returns made after this period will be refused and returned at the customer’s expense.

Product will be evaluated for proper operation. Defective products within the warranty period will be repaired or replaced at InterMotive’s discretion.  Product that is deemed non-warrantable (i.e. failure due to misuse, improper installation, expired warranty or other factors beyond InterMotive’s control) will be replaced at the customer’s expense. Product that has been found to be “working as designed” will be returned to the customer, at the customer’s expense.

Advance Replacement Option

If customer chooses to purchase a replacement part prior to returning a questionable or defective part, a credit card number must be provided to InterMotive Inc.  The credit card will only be charged for two reasons: 1) if the questionable or defective part is not returned to InterMotive Inc, within 30 days for inspection, or
2) if the returned part is deemed non-warrantable AND the advance replacement part is not returned within 30 days in re-saleable condition. 

InterMotive Inc. will reimburse the cost of UPS ground freight, if the returned unit is deemed warrantable. If the customer chooses expedited freight, the additional expense will be charged to customer’s credit card. If returned merchandise has been found to be defect free, it will be returned to the customer at their expense, and the advance replacement part must be paid for. If the customer does not want the part returned, a credit minus a 25% restock fee will be applied to their account.

Refunds and Credit

Unless requested in writing for unusual circumstances at the time of a merchandise return, InterMotive Inc. does not issue refunds.  Credit will be applied to the customer’s account per the terms described within this return policy.  Verbal or implied deviations from this return policy are accepted at the sole discretion of InterMotive Inc.  InterMotive Inc. will suspend credit privileges for customers who practice “charging back” without authorization from InterMotive Inc.  The withholding of payment or taking unauthorized credit for merchandise returns will be exclusively managed by InterMotive Inc. per the terms described within this return policy.

LIMITATION ON LIABILITY

InterMotive will not be liable for loss or damage to property or any incidental or consequential loss or expense from property damage due directly or indirectly from the use or installation of this product.
